Miracle Patient: Cancer Survivor’s Miraculous Journey of Faith Featured on “Screwtape Letters Podcast”
PHOENIX, AZ, March 28, 2025 – The latest episode of the popular “Screwtape Letters Podcast” Miracle Patient, features an awe-inspiring interview with Dan Thompson, a cancer survivor whose remarkable journey of faith and healing has captivated listeners nationwide.
Hosted by Galen and Ian, the episode delves into Thompson’s powerful testimony of overcoming a dire cancer diagnosis through unwavering faith in Christ. Two years ago, Thompson received a shocking diagnosis of small cell lung cancer that had metastasized to his liver and lymph nodes, along with an unrelated colon cancer.
“When I asked God ‘Why now?’, I heard an audible voice answer, ‘For my glory,'” Thompson recounts in the interview. This profound spiritual experience became the cornerstone of his approach to battling cancer, with Thompson firmly believing that the fight was “not his, but God’s.”
Thompson’s story is marked by his use of both traditional and alternative treatments, coupled with a steadfast refusal to accept a negative prognosis. His doctors have since used the word “miracle” to describe his recovery, underscoring the extraordinary nature of his healing journey.

Dan introduces himself as a family man, married for 17 years with three children, and recently found out he is to become a grandfather. He describes his background as a lukewarm Christian raised in the Roman Catholic faith. Dan’s faith was dramatically activated when he received a shocking cancer diagnosis two years and three days prior to the interview.
The diagnosis came unexpectedly when Dan visited an urgent care facility for back pain and difficulty breathing. A CT scan revealed small cell lung cancer that had metastasized to his liver and lymph nodes. Additionally, he was diagnosed with unrelated colon cancer. Dan underwent surgery for colon cancer and received treatment for the other cancers, eventually achieving remission for the lung, liver, and lymph node cancers. Today he is “Cancer Free.”
